The Silk Road was an ancient network of trade routes that connected the East and the West, stretching from China to the Mediterranean Sea. Traveling the Silk Road allows you to explore several historically significant sites, including the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, the Mogao Caves near Dunhuang, the ancient cities of Samarkand and Bukhara in Uzbekistan, and the stunning Silk Road cities of Kashgar and Turpan.

Best Time to Visit

Given the massive size of China, different areas have varying climate though in general, spring (Mar-May) and autumn (Sep-Nov) is generally the best time to visit China.

Avoid traveling to China during the Golden Week and Chinese New Year period.
